Hope you’ve been well?
Today’s post is going to be very short, I don’t intend to bore you or drag your attention from what’s been going on.
Personally, I want to shed light on what will happen if we relent.
All around Nigeria, to be optimistic all around the world we’ve seen the hashtag #endsars and now we know what it stands for.
Saddened and enraged, we have taken to the streets and the internet to vent our frustrations, and call our leaders to book.
But we must relent and let this revolution fade to the background just like all other trends.
We must continue to stand in the face of opposition and scorn and demand for our rights, the right to live, the right to be free, the right to be successful and not killed for it.
This is a call to stay angry till our needs are met, to stay angry till our leaders sit up.
Or else, ten years from now we will be totally powerless to question the boot pressing down our necks.
Or else years from now, we will shed tears because someone we love and hold dear will fall prey to stray bullets and our leaders will just shrug and move on.
Stay angry or else this violence, this total disregard for our basic rights will become the norm for our children.
Do what you can no matter how little.
Peace and love.
