Exercise.
Welcome to Our new series ‘Lifestyle Tips’ with Oma
Exercise?- we all hate this word.
Or specifically I do.
Whoever invented it thought he was doing us a favour but I disagree – mostly because I’m lazy- in my defence our ancestors did not need to exercise, we had farming, fishing and trekking long distances to market their goods to take care of that. But alas we’re not our ancestors.
With the advent of technology, life has been made easier and the exercise most people get is lifting a pen or if you live in Lagos, shoving people aside to jump into a bus at rush hour.
Exercising has become a fixture in our daily lives as our bodies requires regular (healthy) nourishment and daily exercise to keep us in premium shape. It has also become a trend with the fitfam community ( our celebrities who entertain us with daily updates of their exercise regimen).
Exercise is a requirement during this time with the corona virus pandemic ravaging our planet (stay safe, we will get through this). It keeps us fit and the endorphins released during keeps us happy and relaxed afterwards.
So these are a few tips to help you on your way.
– Be in tune with your body.
There are some types of exercise regimen that are not suitable for some people and can cause serious damage.
(Check out hyperthyroidism) see meaning below

so the first point is to listen to what your body is saying to avoid stories that touch like the time I didn’t listen and ended up in the hospital with three injections and one IV drip.
_Be consistent.
“I’ll do today and that will cover the next three months” if you’re on this table, gather here let’s cry together. The key to keeping fit and healthy is consistency so set a timetable that works for you and keep to it.
_ Food.
You can’t go to the gym/exercise wherever and come back to sit down to two hamburger, and a diet Coke and two bars of chocolate as desert (we all do it). You have to be intentional about what goes into your body, some foods are not healthy for our bodies and should be avoided at all costs.some experts recommend food journals to keep track of what to eat.
_There is such a thing as too much exercise.
You guys that are so ripped that even your shoulders have muscles, this is your shade. Please take it easy, you’re already great to look at.
_Know what works for you.
I take long walks because as my form of exercise and doesn’t require much attention which leaves my mind free to come up with more ideas, so I get two benefits.
