The pandemic is set to leave an impact in almost every sector in the society, even after a cure has been found.
Some likely negative impacts;
Loss of jobs
WFP’s Senior Spokesperson, Elisabeth Byrs, said this in a statement
COVID-19 may lead to the loss of 13 million jobs in Nigeria, the World Food Programme (WFP) of the United Nations (UN) said on Wednesday.
Due to the fact that the economy is unstable, everything is centered around the pandemic and most companies either work twice as hard, or let go of some positions to recover from all the loss of time and profit due to the pandemic.
Increase in hunger rate
This has been on before the pandemic and may worsen after it, majority of the masses in this part of the world are dying of hunger and scarcity, if some key measures aren’t taken it’ll only worsen the poverty rate.
Education sector:
Off and on Asuu strike has been on even before the virus hit the world, the FG and ASUU are yet to conclude on the recent strike government schools embarked on just before the pandemic, giving more room for worry as schools would be gravely affected by the pandemic.
Just to list a few, so many more positive and negative likely impacts on the society by the pandemic, but which would be more?
