Ever heard of the phrase “Good riddance to bad rubbish”? Or ever heard someone say Good riddance?
people say this mostly when they are letting go of bad things going on with them or saying goodbye to ugly situations.
Still don’t get it?
Let’s take out time to define it
Good riddance:
This is simply a phrase said with relief from an unwanted thing or person.
- Take note of the ‘person’, this is to show it is also used when relating to people and it can also be used in situations where you’ve had enough, situations where there’s been more of defeat, loosing yourself , constant pain – for instance, for some time I’ve been told I got constipation(whatever that means), it gets scary and painful, most people don’t know this is a very disturbing sickness and i am told to avoid certain meals( some of my favorite)but today I say I’m ready “Good riddance to bad rubbish”.
When do you use this phrase?
– unhealthy relationships
-competitions between colleagues/friends
-rivalry
– bad habits
-when in fear/ doubt about that business proposal, or that new idea or during these times- believe!
Good riddance to the doubts and fears in this new month and week!
