I did it again!
Have you ever enjoyed doing something you know you shouldn’t be doing? If yes, now that’s guilty pleasure.
Curious about what I did?- first check this out;
Guilty pleasure is basically the feeling of doing things you derive joy from even when you know you shouldn’t do them.
Take for instance,
You want to achieve a certain body goal and have a diet plan of all the meals suitable for you during the period, but you find yourself still eating certain meals you love outside your diet plan. Totally guilty pleasure!
Here you find that people still stay in abusive relationships knowing fully well their partners wouldn’t change.
Some reasons are:
– shame/ embarrassment
– money and lifestyle they have and so on.
This should not be pleasure,follow the guilt and leave!
3. Habits/ Addictions:
This could be late night snacking, late night movies, taking too much coffee, smoking, the list goes on. People do these things and know deep down they are all harmful to the health in one way or the other but still carry on with these habits.
This is when the doctor has directed a patient to avoid certain meals, it could be a diabetic patient to stay away from starchy meals and meals with high sugar content, but they still find themselves consuming foods that they clearly shouldn’t be eating but gives them pleasure -now this is what I did today, I had meals I wasn’t suppose to, even after successfully avoiding these meals.
Some of us are crazy about latest trends like fashion – shoes, bags, makeup, jewelry, clothes etc and celebrity gossips basically anything that’s trending. This is totally guilty pleasure!
