Firstly Farmers are underrated!
If you already have the zeal to be a farmer, to join the agricultural sector in Africa, your passion would definitely yield profit and if you are among those in the school of thought that agriculture is too much stress and yields little or no profit.
Well, Dr Akinwumi Adesina the President of Africa Development Bank has put it to everyone that “The next generation of billionaires in Africa will be farmers”
He also said “by 2030 the size of the food and Agric business in Africa will reach one trillion dollar”
This is the act of growing and cultivating crops for personal consumption or the masses.
In high school we were taught the importance of farming and most of us participated in the debate “Farmers and Teachers” whose services are needed the most. I know I did!
Back in the day in some African countries farming was the major means of livelihood. We don’t seem to understand that one of the richest persons in Africa is a farmer.
